Guidelines as of October 5, 2012
Limitless City LLC ("Limitless City") allows users to contribute different kinds of content, including reviews, comments, events, votes, private messages, and more. We have put together some guidelines with regard to what is acceptable content to contribute as a user. Please also read the guidelines below for specific types of content that you might contribute to the site. Please note that "Us" , "Our" or "We" refer to Limitless City.
Inappropriate content: Colorful language and imagery can be acceptable, but threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry are not considered appropriate.
Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. For example, it is not appropriate to write reviews about your own business or employer, your friends' or relatives' business, or businesses of your friends.
Promotional content: We generally frown upon promotional content that is commercial in nature. The purpose of this site is to be useful for consumers and their friends and not to be a vehicle for commercial activity or promotions.
Relevance: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the purpose of the site. Reviews and comments are not for the purpose of stating political beliefs, extraneous opinions or other statements that are not beneficial to the users who are sharing interesting restaurants, events and things to do.
Privacy: Do not post or disclose private information of other people. Posting photos of people without their permission or their full names, for example, are not considered appropriate.
Intellectual property: Do not post written words, photos or other content that was created by someone else other than you. Never post anything that is under someone's copyright, patent, or otherwise.
The best reviews or comments are personal and thoughtful. They are written in a way that is interesting and useful to the reader or the friend you are sharing it with. Since everyone is different, give the reader an idea of where you are coming from and sufficient detail that they can understand the reason why you love a place, restaurant or event. Here are some additional thoughts for conscientious reviewers.
Personal experience: We want to hear about your firsthand consumer experience, not what you heard from your friend, spouse or neighbor. Tell your own story without resorting to generalizations, cliches, or allegations without substance.
Accuracy: Make sure your review or comment is factually correct. Distortions of the facts hurt the credibility of your review or comments. You want to be able to proudly stand behind your review or comments.
Review updates: If you go back to a restaurant, club or park and things have changed, go ahead and update your comment or review. Your friends with appreciate it. A stale or out-of-date review or comment is never appreciated, certainly by your friends.
Heard about a great event in town? Great! Post it as an interesting event on Limitless City. If you went to an event, but it will never be staged again, don't torture your readers by telling them about something they will never be able to experience. We also like to keep the content fresh, so keep future event posting to no more than 6 months in advance.
